Privacy Policy
This policy explains how aurnoct ("we", "us") handles information in connection with aurnoct publisher, the internal software we use to publish our own videos to our own social media accounts. aurnoct publisher is not a public service: the only accounts it connects to are accounts owned and operated by aurnoct.
What the app does
aurnoct publisher uploads short-form videos we created, with their titles, captions and hashtags, to our own accounts on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X, using each platform's official API. It also reads basic performance numbers (such as views and likes) for the videos we posted, so we can see which ones do well.
Information we access
- Authorization tokens issued by each platform when we connect our own account, so the app can act on that account.
- Basic account details of our own accounts (account ID, username, channel or page name) needed to publish to the right place.
- Our own videos and their public metrics (views, likes, comments counts) for videos we published.
We do not access, collect or store information about other users, their content, their contacts or their messages. We do not use the APIs to scrape, monitor or profile anyone.
YouTube
aurnoct publisher uses YouTube API Services. When we connect our own YouTube channel it asks Google for two permissions: to upload videos (youtube.upload) and to view the channel and its videos (youtube.readonly). With them it uploads our videos to our channel and reads our channel's ID and name and the view, like and comment counts of the videos we uploaded. It does not read, change or delete anything else.
How we use it
Only to publish our own videos and to measure how our own videos perform. We do not use API data for advertising, do not sell it, do not share it with third parties, and do not use it to train AI models.
Storage and security
Tokens and metrics are stored on a private server we control, in files readable only by the app's own user account, and are transmitted only over encrypted connections to the platforms' official API endpoints. Access is limited to the people who operate aurnoct.
Cookies and device storage
Neither this website nor aurnoct publisher places, reads or recognizes cookies or similar technologies on your device, and we do not allow third parties to do so.
Retention and deletion
We keep tokens only while an account is connected, and delete them when we disconnect the account. Performance metrics for our own videos are kept for no longer than 36 months. If access to an account is revoked, we stop using it and delete the data we hold from that platform's API within 30 days, and we act on any request to delete data within 7 days. You can revoke the app's access to an account at any time from that platform's settings, for example:
- Google / YouTube: Google security settings at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions
- TikTok: Settings and privacy → Security → Manage app permissions
- Meta (Instagram / Facebook): Settings → Apps and websites
- X: Settings → Security and account access → Apps and sessions
Google API Services
aurnoct publisher's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. aurnoct publisher uses YouTube API Services, and by using it you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service; Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Children
aurnoct publisher is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
